Rest in peace Brolly boy

This past weekend was very sad and emotional for our family.  We lost our beloved black lab Brolly.  Brolly has been in our family for the last 10 years and our hearts are broken as we had to say goodbye.  I am writing this post as a remembrance to our big boy.

Brolly you were our first child, our companion, our best friend, the most wonderful dog a family could ask for and the list goes on.  You will be missed by many but especially your family at home.  You were survived by your Mommy, Daddy, sister Emery and your partner in crime Griffin.

I still remember the day we met you at the Humane Society.  I sent your dad to go look at another dog I saw on the news one morning who was also up for adoption.  When he got there that dog had already been placed in a home and then he found you.  When we got there you were just a pup, only 4 months old.  You were so clam and cool compared to all the other dogs there.  We played with you for a while and knew right then we had to take you home.  We had to wait two days so that they could update your shots and neuter you; their rules.  When we finally picked you up you were such a crazy happy typical lab puppy.  I remember all the energy you had and that never went away even as you aged :)  You got into so much trouble as a puppy as you destroyed everything in site.  Eventually you learned to behave and burned that energy elsewhere.

We had so many fun memories with you including our camping trip to the lake with friends, going to the beach, playing in the backyard, along with so many other times that we will never forget.  You will never be forgotten Brolly boy.  You brought so much joy to our lives even when you drove me crazy with your shedding hair :)

I am so happy we were chosen to be your parents.  I feel such a void just writing this and missing you so much already. Our hearts and home are empty without you.  I miss hearing your collar clink together, and your tip taps across the wood floors; things just aren't the same without you here.  I am so sorry you got sick and that it all happened so quickly.  You were so tired and lethargic the past couple of days and just not your bouncy self.  I hope that you know we loved you every minute of everyday and hope that you are resting in doggy heaven.. We promise we will see you again one day.  you can drink all the water in the world now without having to pee every two minutes and can run free and as fast and as far as you want.

You will always be our first baby boy and we will love you forever!  Kisses and loves your family :)

Rest in Peace.
